Video-Conference (International Day - England)

The Ravensbourne school celebrates 26th May as "the International Day" and organizes some activities internationally. As Incekum Primary School, We join the video conference together with a few schools from different countries by the leadership of Mrs. Andree Jordan's , the English Teacher. It is the first and the most exciting activity for my students so far since they long to see their friends from England. They prepare on some subjects and present them. Actually it is hard to understand most of the sentences but thanks to typing feature of the system we can write when we have difficulty in understanding each other properly.

We mainly talk about our schools, dances, life styles, environment, recycling, lessons, socal activities, food and drinks. It is absolutaly fruitful for my students' individual development. It is also handy for the concepts of harmoniusness, citizenship, belonging and being international.

MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK!

The kermess (sale of works) hold in the school play-ground resulted with an unexpectedly high income. Students brought the food and drink and some families help making gözleme (a special bread). The municipality arranged rice with chicken for sale. There was live music concert with a guitar. Everything was amazing and all the students had a great time eating, having fun, dancing and doing something good for their school. This activity was also a step for our future Comenius project which aims volunteering mainly.

INCEKUM I. CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL

Guests from England and Estonia came to Incekum Town to celebrate Children's Day with our students in April. 12 from the Ravensbourne School and 7 from Kadrina School of Fine Arts joined us for the whole week program. Actually the guests were our partnes in the Comenius school project for next year. The guests stayed in Incekum Beach Resort Hotel by the Municipality of the Town. During the week, the student groups had a chance to do variety of activities like building model planes, visiting Dim Cave, Side Ruins, Perge the ancient city, Alanya Castle, the Museum and a primary school in Payallar. They have also visited the Mayor, Fahri Baysal and the Head of Education in Alanya.

. They watched talented dolphins' and seals' performances in "ALANYASEA". All the participants joined the Kite Festival just before the Children's Day Ceremony. English students played St. George and The Dragon. Estonians performed mini concerts a few times with their musical enstruments. They danced together and they had great time together. These togetherness showed them how nonsense it is to be prejudicial. Our students were also well-prepared for the celebration. They were all great.
